    Default Plant Preparation

I have always been curious to how plants should be properly sterilized before being added to a terrarium. I'm sure I am about to get a lot of "wash all the dirt off the roots and plant in the terrarium/vivarium soil, but I am certain that there is a better, less stressful, way than this for both plant and frog. I am particularly addressing carnivorous plants such as pitchers and Venus flytraps that have very fragile root systems and prefer the dirt (peat moss) they are planted in. And also I know the best way would be growing them yourself to ensure there are no foreign pesticides or fertilizers, but growing fragile rainforest plants like bromeliads, ferns, and pitcher plants from scratch are easier said than done. So any advice is appreciated, and thank you in advance for your time

I'm not sure if this is the answer you're looking for but a Physan 20 rinse might help. I wouldn't put it on any live moss because it can kill it.

that sounds like a possibility, and it doesn't hurt the frogs? What about the soil the plant is in? How do I sterilize that?
