So I've had my tank set-up since Friday and I tried to stay home all weekend so I could keep an eye on my little guy.
I felt like running home on my lunch-break to check up on him and the pane of glass that I have on the top-vent had shattered.
I'm wondering what else I could use, and I'd like to figure out this problem sooner than later because I'm worried about the humidity levels.
That brings me to another point I had questions on... are there any tips or tricks I can use to keep my humidity up?
I'm spraying twice a day, but when I wake up in the morning, and when I come home from work, the percent has always dropped
from just above 70 to below 50. Same for my Pacman, his goes from above 80 to 50 or 60. I'd really love some moisture-retintion tips.
saran wrap ......it works ...
Yep I saran wrap my vivs and the humidity retention is godlike!
my heat-lamp shattered a pain of 1/4" plate glass....so I think seran wrap is out.
What I did initially to try to create more humidity was to put LECA that was very moist under the layer of coconut husk fiber on the cage floor. I have a heat pad under neath the moist LECA to try and coax some humidity out of the bottom.
