I worked on 2 builds this weekend and finished them both with some major improvements to both for comfort of the lil froggies. Below will be posted pics of the viv before work was done ....this build had clay/ coco type background(last pic) with a handmade waterfall (which I loved ) and a small land area as these frogs are semi aquatic and love their water play. However the frogs didnt seem to like the land area and avoided the coco fiber/ peat walls as much as possible..so after gathering a few great ideas ,I wrecked it and rebuilt it hopefully it will be alot better .. the later pics are of the rebuilt exo the frogs are out playing as you will see they are so much happier it seems , my males are calling and im hoping to get eggs and tads soon from these (4females/2 males) they are my favorite froggy. Sorry if the pic quality is poor my camera is on the blink . The new build has a corkbark surrounded land area that has a deep fill of leca balls then a layer of weedblock material...abg mix and some springtails and orchid chips were added...then planted...and surface area covered in moss( hand picked by me and cleaned thoroughly) It has a repti submersible filter and pump covered by mesh canvas top planted with moss also that just lifts off for cleaning. Then a few perch branches and pothos (a great place for courting) since these frogs lay their eggs on wood. They only other addition will be a med sized clay pot half submerged for egg laying also..comments and ideas are welcome ...thanks for all your help guys and gals you make frogging fun!
Looks SICK! I love itI want to get a semi aquatic species. Gonna do some homework on these little guys now.
