I have 7 FBT's, for about a year now. When I bought them I had the tank ready & I put them in a good sized plastic (people) food container, with small holes poked in the top, and with some wet paper towels on the bottom. It was only 10 minutes away, so they were back in a tank before they knew what was happening.
Now, I am really moving, about 45 minute drive from where I am now, and it will take me a while to get them in the car, to ready the tank on the other end, so I figure they will be 'in transit' for at least 2 hours, possibly 3 at the most.
I went out to buy a container for their travel, thinking that I would buy one of those plastic storage bins, but they had a plastic smell & I was worried that it might be toxic to them, so I bought a glass food storage container, fairly good size--about 3" deep and 10" long by 12" wide. It has a glass lid that fits on it but not real tight -- no rubber or plastic seals around the top.
So, my question is: if I put them in the glass container with some wet paper towels, will they have enough air if I use the glass lid? Or should I cover the container wirh something else that I can poke air holes in?
