Some frogs I found :)

Hey
went to my Nans the other day and I found a few frogs that were under some logs and metal drums so I thought I'd share some pictures (I also found I snake but he ran off to quickly before I could take a picture)
These are Eastern banjo frogs or Pobblebonks (Limnodynastes dumerili )







Two pobblebonks buried under a metal drum that I lifted up, with Spotted Marsh frogs in the background


These are Spotted marsh frogs or spotted grass frogs (Limnodynastes tasmaniensis)



you can kind of see the top of a pobblebonk buried in this one


A spotted marsh frog with no stripe down his back,



Thanks for looking, and sorry if the pictures aren't so good, I just got a new camera that day so I hadn't really figured out how to use it, haha

That's great Kristen! Great photos! I wonder why they're called Banjo frogs .....do their calls resemble the banjo?

and I have no clue why they're called that, but I do know why they're called Pobblebonks, Cause their call is kind of a "bonk" heres a link with they're call on it Frogs Australia Network - Australian Frog Database - Limnodynastes dumerilii - Eastern Banjo Frog , and the frog that I found is not the one in the picture, I found Limnodynastes dumerilii insularis, (a sub-species)

Thanks, Their bonk call gets annoying after a while, over and over again, haha.
