It will take a while for the fig to start creeping. Just be patient and watch for new growth (bright green). Btw, i like the wandering jew up in the corner.i would suggest building a rock wall outside the viv for the screen area. A little silicone, a few rock, then just put it in. You can even build a mock up area if you have any egg crate left over.
