I keep reading care articles that are mentioning false bottoms... i don't really get it.. what is it?
From what I have been gathering its a sectioned of part of the bottom of the enclosure used as a water drainage area. Usually used to grow live plants so the water just doesnt build up in the substrate and also used when running a waterfall system in an enclosure.
Water drainage system. Prevents soggy substrate, root rot if you have live plants and regulates the humidity.
