Question Can someone please 'review' my vivarium?

This is my White's tree frog vivarium, its 18"x18"x24" (33g) and has one juvenile white's in it. All the plants are living, no pumps, no expensive equipment, just light. Please just leave a comment leaving a rating or review of the vivarium and anything that you think I can do to better improve it. Thanks.

    *UPDATED INFO:

The temperature is kept around 73 and 75 degrees during the day. I keep a heat lamp on there maybe 2 hours a day for basking which brings the temp up do about 80 degrees.

The humidity is kept around 60-70%, and even though he's a White's, it doesn't seem that he minds much. His skin is still green which tells me that humidity and temp is alright. Brown skin ussualy means that its a little cooler and wet.

I feed my juvenile treefrog about 2-3 times a week, 6-7 small sized crickets and dusted every other day. Sometimes I like to spoil him slightly with 2 SMALL mealworms or 2 waxworms. I realize that they can become obese, but he is a growing frog and needs his food!

Looks good not much in the upper portion of the tank to give him some where to climb up. I would say get some more vines to take advantage of the height of your tank maybe even use a zip-tie to put some broms up there. If you had another tank you could put your frog in for a day you could always you aquarium silicon to put some vines or branches up there. If you don't have an extra tank just go get large thick tree branches from outside bake them and then bury the bottom in your substrate so they are anchored and then extend them up to the top of the tank.

If you use branched you could always plant off the branches too later on so it looks more natural

It is a GREAT tank for starters and I'm sure he loves it

    Hope this Helps

Thanks, Thad. What I do is I take the bendable vines and wrap them around a suction cup that is attatched to the glass. It works great. Thanks for the suggestions.

Yeah that works too... but as your whites gets bigger it might not, they can become heavy frogs so you might want to double up on the suction cups once he/she is bigger

But it is a nice tank and I like the water pool you have. Its deep enough for him/her to get all the water he needs but shallow enough he/she won't drown.

I can't wait until he grows up. And yeah, the pool shown in the photo has all the water evaporated from it, I just forgot to fill it up. Even when its filled, the frog likes to hang out in there.

    Hi BettaShawn,
    It looks great !
I do not have Whites. However, you might also post other details such as :
    temp
    humidity
    feeding details( food, supplements etc)

I'm sure others will respond as there are many, many experienced FF members that have them as well.

ThIs habitat looks very good for a start. But like Lynn said, give details on temp, humidity, and feeding details. This will help very so.

    Hi,
I might suggest to remove the arrow plant on the left since the stems hold a sap that will be deadly to your frog if the plant breaks and sap get on your frog. They will also trample most plants while growing. Mine have split large aloe plants, broke pothos vines, and bend the leaves of very robust bromeliads with no remorse :-)

I would also suggest removing the small stones since they are a health hazard which we see all to often here. I believe some even posted pics recently of like 18 or 19 stones in their frogs stomach shown in the xrays they posted. The stones are easily swallowed and once something is in a whites mouth, it doesn't come out of the mouth but will be swallowed.
