I don't think they are any sort of infection, since they showed up on both arms at the same time, and they are symmetrical on both sides. Also, they don't appear to be irritated or the skin broken in any way. If anything, they seem more sturdy than the rest of his skin.

Any ideas what they could be? I can try and get my parents to take pictures of them for me since I'm not at home right now, but that might take awhile.

Yeah, I thought that was probably a bit large for a male.
Well its not impossible for males to reach large sizes. CapoJames claims to have a 8 inch SVL male. I've only seen a photo of him in his tank and it was hard to tell. Loki is only 5 months old now and he calls everyday. Nuptual pads are dark so those could be part of his hands for burrowing. Photos would be good though. Just to see what they might be. Could just be normal part of him/her.

I'm thinking they might just be normal part of his/her hands, since the pads don't seem sensitive at all. I'll try and get pics, but that requires teaching my parents how to send photographs over the internet, and might take awhile. :P

Trevor will chirp a little bit when there's food in the cage, but it's so quiet that it's almost inaudible. Definitely not a call, and it doesn't sound like the noises females will make when they are disturbed either. It's kind of an 'excited' noise I guess. Though, it's possible that Trevor has called before, and no one noticed. When I'm not around, no one really spends much time in that room, so if he were calling they wouldn't know, and when I am around, I'm living in there, which might make him shy?
Eh, I'm just assuming he's a female based on size unless something else happens.

Okay, one more time......here are some pictures of both sexes to show the differences between the sexes.

Nuptual Pad on a male :

Lack of Nuptual Pad on a Female :

Once you know what you're looking for, it's pretty easy to spot. The quiet vocalizations are usually females, you will KNOW when a Male calls.....there is NO mistaking it.

    Hope this helps!

Thanks Jessica. I'm usually on my phone when I'm on here so I don't think I can post links. Or at least I don't think I can.

They do usually have pads (not nuptual pads) that are like calluses which help them dig. Maybe that is what you are seeing. I thought Grif's were nuptual pads at first too. Grif did make cheeping noises when she was a baby. You'll definitely know the call if you here it. I can usually hear Loki when I'm two rooms away. If he gets any louder, the neighbors will probably start complaining! LOL
