I was wondering what kind of plants should I use for my temporary 25gal wide habitat?
Just wonder what kind and if they must be store bought or not!
Can someone please leave a answer? I would appreciate it! =)
Look up black jungle terraruim supply they have a lot of plant options.
Thanks for the suggestion! But I'd prefer to but from the local pet store/Home Depot/Lowes so the plants will have less stress. What I'm looking for is plants that produce decent size leaves with the ability to hold the weight of tree frogs! Any good plants of that nature?
In my Hyla Cinerea viv I have A zebra Plant, an Antherium, Pothos, lucky bamboo and a bromeliad. All bought at Home Depot or Lowes. If you are going to buy from one of these types of places you need to completely rinse ALL of the soil off of the roots because the fertilizer is toxic to frogs and you dont want it leeching out into the soil and poisoning them!!
Thank you for that information! That might be the reason why my frogs are acting weird and really don't come down at all! Although they are tree frogs...
Whenever I am adding a plant to my viv I always re-plant the plant in coco fiber and let the fertilizer grow out for two weeks to make sure there is none left. But I am anal.
But will it hurt/kill them in any fashion to use what already on the plant?
