Phyllomedusa sp. (probably bicolor) Generally known as Waxy Monkey Frogs. These frogs are unique because they can live in relatively arid environments and secrete a waxy substance from glands that they then rub all over their skin (like sunblock) that prevents water from evaporating during the heat of the day. A great resource is Cal Photos or AmphibiaWeb.
Alex
I will second that, I believe it is a Phyllomedusa bicolor or giant monkey frog.
thank you. what part of the world to they live in?
Northern South America - Amazonia. They are members of the family Hylidae (treefrogs), subfamily Phyllomedusinae (leaf and monkey frogs). This subfamily also contains the "poster child of the rainforest" Agalychnis callidryas AKA the red-eyed leaf frog.
