Default Would millipedes be ok with a FBT?

If they were larger than the toads mouth/ larger than the toad, or will they be harmed?

Or maybe a different kind of invert, other than the springtails/Isopods.

I have never heard of feeding millipedes before, so I don't know if they are safe. Where are you getting them from?

Millipedes are toxic or atleat like centipedes their bite is. And some give off nauctious odores. I would stay clear of them just incase. you could try red wigglers. Thayre a small earthworm that usually only reaches 3 inches max and they aren't very thick. Since Firebellies are a small frog you still may have to cut the worms into small enough pieces for them to eat easily. Both small crickets and red wigglers could be used as a staple.

He is asking if they can be kept with the frogs, not as food for the frogs.

Unfortunately, I personally have no experince about this.

Oh ok then the answer is still no. They are predatory and still the bite is poisonous. So they could harm the frog.

Millipedes aren't predatory, I think you are thinking of centipedes, they have a venomous bite, and are predators, millipedes eat plant and decomposing matter , I believe.

At first I was thinking you were talking about giant millipedes, which in my opinion would be a no. Now I realized you guys were talking about giant centipedes, and that is definitely not a good combo.

That's what I was thinking. The large millipedes are predatory in the wild and will eat small frogs and lizards if they can catch them. All centipedes are venomous and hunt. I believe the little millipedes are scavangers. I've read a little on both and have seen some videos in nature of the large millipedes hunting.

The large Millipedes are hunters and scavangers. They will eat small frogs and lizards if they can catch them. I know the difference between Millipedes and centipedes. I find it funny how the Millipedes name means 1000 legs when they actually only have about 200 to 300 and Centipedes don't even have 100 legs. They have about half that.

This got more replies than I expected, what I meant was just if I could have like a Florida ivory millipede or something around that size, to act as a cleaning crew invert. I wouldn't put a centipede in because it is venomous and can kill a toad.

A lot of owners use Springtails for their cleaning crew. They eat fungus and other harmful organisms. I believe Poly(Royce) or Don Lisk could give you more info on these mite sized cleaners I'm not sure if I would trust a Millipede in with a frog regardless if that species is a scavanger. Mainly it may freak out your frog and stress it out. Stress is one of the number one if not the number one killer of captive frogs. Best to play it safe and house you frog with other Fire Bellies.
