hello everyone. I have two firebelly's that im upgrading tanks. theyre currently in a 5 gallon but am moving to a new set up in a twenty gallon.
so im thinking of getting a 1/2 inch thick pcs of plexi glass thats aswide as the tank and about two to three inch tall going to use it to put the tank in two sections. I want water and rocks on one side and eco earth and a hut on the the other. i planed on using a silicone gasket rtv type substance to seal the plexiglass and section it all off. i was wondering if it would be an issue if i let it dry 100%. im not sure of the chemical compound. but as i said will let it dry 100%. would this be a problem? last thing i wanna do is injure my froggies
Not sure exactly what the product is so i wouldn't give a recommendation. Aquarium 100 silicone sealant would be best and has to dry completely before use.
100 sealant in silicone doesn't always mean 100 percent since some contain bio seal or similar to prevent molding and shouldn't be used.
If it say aquarium same in the manufacturers specifications or description then it would be fine.
