Thank you Savannah. Alittle background on his name. My Mississippi Map turtle's name is Crash. Thought it would be fitting that my new pal be named Burn. Also, reference from the movie Hackers.. "Crash Override" and "Acid Burn"

I could have named my Pacman Boom, but I had him before my Red-Eyed Leaf Frog, he has been branded "Pakku" already haha

Ok so far so good with the glass bowl trick they are in there like sitting ducks!! Now just waiting for Burn to wake up and discover this buffet. I currently have a 25 watt red party bulb illuminating his enclosure. I read that the red light cannot be seen by them so it won't freak them out is this 100%?

I do not have any scientific facts to back this up with, but it's commonly accepted in the hobby that they are less disturb by red/blue light, but that they do take notice of it. I would observe him and see if he actually wakes up with that much light. It looks very bright.

By the way, nice with the Pakku. Been studying japanese for three years in what's equalent to your high school, and one semester im the university.

Hmmm okay. Well I think the glass dish was a success. I was watching with the red light on as he woke up and just chilled on his leaf for a bit, really didnt move too much but I saw that he was a wake. After about 30 mins I said screw it, turned the red light off and went to bed. I woke up at 4am and discovered that the crickets in the bowl were gone! It will be only a matter of time that he knows where to find his food from here on out.

Update on Burn. I was laying in my bed scrolling through stuff on my phone and I heard a weird noise come from the frogs area in my room. Pretty sure it was an attempt at a call. It was one little sound then didnt happen again. Now to determine whether it was Pakku or Burn! I'm pretty sure it was Burn though. Anyway here's a few shots I got of burn about 20 minutes ago. Didn't want to freak him out too much so I took a few shots with the light on then turned it back off.
