With all due respect, but it's probably not the wisest of choices to ignore a herpvet (in other words a veterainarin dealing with frogs (amongst other animals)) just because DonLisk gave another advice. I do very much respect DonLisk and thinks he is a knowledgeable frog owner, but the advice was just a general advice from the First Aid-article. This is of course good, but how can it not be better to listen to the advice from an actual herpvet?
Also, perhaps you often getaäs bactryl from a vet, but in this specific case Missi actually said it's not comming from a vet but from a private friend.

Missi: You are playing a risky game. First, dissmissing a herpvets advice, and then relying on a BIRD keeper to warn you if overdosing a frog. You said the friends been dealing with snakes and lizards, but that's quite irrelevant. Amphibians are reptiles are not close relatives. Birds and reptiles are much closer anyway.

I might add that this is all I can do until Saturday when I can actually see the vet so I personally feel it is better than doing nothing.
