She's a female PCF that will be a year old in a couple months. She's very picky about her food. I have to gutload her crickets with calcium supplements because she refuses to eat them if they are dusted. I'm worried about her since her brothers died after they refused to eat. She seems perfectly happy to chase down her food and gobble up some tiny pinheads, but she doesn't eat very much or very often. Any help would be great.
Gwen looks a bit skinner than my picky frog, but not by much. I worry about mine too, but she seems very active and healthy otherwise. Mine will also be a year old soon, so they are a good comparison for age/size.
Thanks. She just passed away a few hours ago...I don't it. She was fine and hunting last night, but she crawled out of her water and up unto her fav branch then just closed her eyes and fell off. She ate maybe 4-5 pinheads before her soak. I don't know what I did wrong. I don't think I'm going to try tree frogs again this year, maybe next year. I'll go to the reptile show or something to find a healthy one. I'm just so sad she didn't even live a year. I raised her from a tadpole. I thought I did everything right this time...It's like Gizmo all over again.... =(
Guen,
I'm sorry as well.
Sometimes they are, just, so hard.
Maybe something was wrong right from the start?
Sadly, it's impossible to know.
Lynn

Both her brothers died. One was malformed as a tadpole. The other just died one day like Gwen just did. That's the reason I gave them numbers to start with instead of names. I thought we were past the danger zone, but She was happy hunting and basking and had a nice swim before she went.
I'm really sorry to hear that.![]()
