Animal Abuse Registry..hopefully it passes...

There is a lawmaker in Maryland that wants to pass a law that if a person has committed animal abuse, they have to be put on a registry for 10 years, and cannot buy animals from many places such as Humane Societies and Pet Shops. What do you guys thank of it? Check out the URL...and please comment....would love to hear some thoughts on this......I sure wish they had this in Michigan.
