paddletailed newts are awsome

hey all,

i just wanted to see some thoughts on paddletailed newts, i just got one the other day. i would also like to see some pictures of your newts and tanks/ enclosers

rocky and wet with vary lil land just like they like it

Keep them cool ( 60 - 72F ) water temps , strong water current , a couple of large rocks , I used to use a few flower pots with holes drilled on the sides , they are very territorial , typically one per 20 gallon long unless you have a few hiding spots / cave like structures , you could put a pair in a tank that small. A terrific hardy newt....

It has been years since I had some. I do remember they are very found of eating to say the least. One of the bigger species I had ever kept.
