    They look like American Toads and the one with the dark throat although larger then the smaller one now is probally is a male. I bet that younger one with the light throat will grow larger then him in time.

    A good way to tell it's a male is pick him up, if he chirps when you hold him by his back legs then you've got yourself a male.
