How long should it be before i hear calls from my frogs?

I've got 8 milk frogs as of yesterday and i'm just wondering when i should start to hear the males (assuming i'm not the most unlucky person in the world and picked out 8 females)

I'm assuming they'll take a few days to settle in but i'm quite excited as i've heard there quite noisy when they get going.

It depends on how young they are . When I got my whites tree frog, Hubbie, for example he didn't start croaking until about a month and half after I got him. He was already an adult, so he was just “settling in” lol.

You could try finding recordings of Milk frog calls and play them near your frogs’ terrarium to stimulate vocalization. I’m doing a science project with Wood frogs. I’m trying to stimulate my male Woodies to call by playing Wood frog recordings at a specific temp/humidity level that resembles their breeding conditions. So far I’ve had an explosion of calling behavior from one particular male. Of course you don’t have to go as detailed as that, but it wouldn’t hurt to try .

I have had my fatties (Whites Tree Frog) for almost a year and I have never heard a peep out of them. I got a new Whites about 2 weeks ago and he croaked the whole drive home, and did not hesitat to croak the day after I put him in the quarintine tank! Now I think he just likes to say good night cause when I turn off all the lights and TV at night to turn in I usually get a few croaks and then silence the rest of the night!
