Newbie - and owner of 2 Red Eyed Tree Frogs - Pocket & Peso

Hi Everyone.

Nice to meet you all!

I am new to the forum but have been reading it for months preparing for the day I would receive my cutest lil Red-Eyed Leaf Frog's. I just recently got them back on Dec 27th, so far they seem to be doing great. They don't eat as much as I read others seem to (5 crickets per feeding per frog few times per week) but I think that might only be because they are new to their habitat. If I put more than 4-5 total per feeding not per frog they don't always get eaten. But I have seen Pocket eat a few times already and I have also heard him sing... I am not 100% sure yet but I think Peso maybe a girl. Peso seems to have a bit more width to her and she is a darker green than Pocket and quiet lol.... I have waited so long for them I am just extremley happy to finally have them They are the cutest.

Congrats and welcome to the forum.

Mine eat more like dietitians then frogs. They eat when they want to and some nights a few, some nights only one. Not like they have big stomachs to fit a m=pile of crickets, so as long as they are happy, i am too.

Thank you & Good to know, that makes me feel much better, they do seem to be happy so far and Pocket is getting really use to me putting the crickets in, he no longer pretends to be sleeping lol, Peso hides much more
