Hi everyone. This weekend my bedroom (where Nugget lives) is being painted, so I'll have to move my froggy's tank to another bedroom in the house so he is safe. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to reduce stressing him out? The painting will probably start Saturday, but I am going to try to move him on Thursday so I have plenty of time, and he can get used to his new location a bit longer before I have to move him back next week. Any advice is much appreciated, as always. Thanks in advance!
My God how big is your house??? lol. I wouldnt worry too much about it. As long as the room temps/humidity will be about the same it will not be too stressful. I would advise not moving your frog in the actual tank. Just put your frog in a small covered critter keeper or another covered container and then move the tank to the temporary room and make sure it is where it will stay. Then put him back. I bet he wont even notice.
Kristy has the right idea. This way he doesn't actually see that his enclosure is in another room. It wouldn't bother him much being in another room anyway because his home will still be the same. Should be fine.
My house is not that big, we just have a spare room since my sister recently moved out, and I'll be keeping my stuff there (including Nugget) while my room is being painted. I hadn't thought of moving his tank and then putting him in it, but that sounds like the right idea. Thanks guys!!!
