Help Needed: Mold growing in dirt

I do I stop this madness without mad destruction of the habitat and without hurting the frogs?
I already moved all 3 into a smaller container, now just need to get rid of the mold!

Any suggestions in natural chemicals that won't hurt my frogs?

there may be thing that will work but it will keep coming back if your humidity stays the same sadly you will need to clean out the hole tank sorry

Is there a drainage layer below the soil?
If the soil is always soaked then the mold will come back.

How long has the tank been set up? Some mold will show on a new tank and then slowly go away unless the soil is constantly soaked and not just damp. There should be drainage. Many of my new wood accents will mold for a little while then subside. I usually mist only the accents with some distilled water, not the frogs.

What frogs are kept in here and what are the humidity levels and are you using good lighting?

Tank Setup: Almost a full month now. (Tank Setup: 12/17/11; Frogs recieved: 12/18/11)
Drainage layer: Sadly, I didn't think of that on setup0
Frog Species: 2 American Green Tree Frogs and a Spotted Chorus Frog (Wild caught)
(Note: I made sure the Spotted Chorus Frog contained no diseases for 2 months before purchasing the tree frogs!)
Humidity Level: Sadly, I don't have the money right now to purchase a Humidity detector.
But by guessing, a very low and sad level of 25%... I just can't keep the humidity up!

Well, sorry to start this off on a bad note but you need to separate the green tree frogs from the wild caught chorus frog. Both have different toxins that secrete from them as they travel the tank and soak in the water, The cross contamination will slowly over time poison the other as they absorb this while living in the confinement of a tank.

With no drainage layer your soil is probably pretty wet, your humidity can't be guessed so you need a hydrometer which are anywhere from 5 to 10 dollars at a pet shop. I don't think you would be as low as 25 percent and have wet soil with mold on it so get a hydrometer.
If you are using a screen top you will lose humidity through that top, partial covering of a screen top will help retain humidity. Lighting also burns off humidity and heat lamps even more. Using a Compact Florescent over an incandescent will help reduce the humidity loss as long as your able to keep proper temperatures for the frogs.

As for getting rid of the mold, I'd pull the soil that moldy, get a drainage layer in, and some new soil above that.

So what your saying is that Sugie (Spotted Chorus Frog) can kill Snoopy and Peeper ( American Green Tree Frogs)?!?!
Darn it! Poor Sugie! She'll be going' back into the 5gal until I can get her a 10gal...

I'd rinse off any wood or other accent items in with the Green Tree Frogs once you get the Chorus moved out. Always seems good when we can keep them together but it will eventually end sadly when they start to become ill and for no reason.
