I just feed them crickets. Every once in awhile I feed them bugs that I've caught around the house outside. I don't know if that's a great idea or not, but I figure the frogs are wild caught, the bugs are wild caught from the area the frogs are from, so....

I just got finished feeding my picky PCF. I had to dump crickets in front of her three times before she ate one finally. Silly thing. The other fat frogs will eat up the rest, I'm sure. My skinny frog probably eats one decent sized cricket every two-three days. Sometimes I get her to eat a couple of small ones. It just depends on the size of crickets I can get my hands on. She definitely prefers the smaller ones.

I just tried carrots and halved some grapes for them. They seemed to do really well with the grapes. I don't have all of them dying suddenly either.

I think they start to die if the food goes bad and they eat it. Like if the fruit ferments. I use the gel and high calcium grain mass food.

I use a high calcium powder, but I was told that giving crickets high calcium as a regular diet makes them die faster and loose their legs. I mix it up now.

when i get my crickets from the petshop the're overcrowded in a tiny plastic container, so i divide the numbers about half into larger plastic handy boxes and use a mixture of sawdust as bedding and oats on the top. They eat the oats, plus every now and then a couple of pieces of carrots. I was finiding green leaves and lettuce were making the crickets ill, smelly and eventually die in their containers.

When I had a Betta, I'd give the crickets some of the pellets too. I give them some regular fish flakes when I can't get them any other food. I was using ground up hermit crab pellets for a bit too. They need much more water with the powder though. I've been putting in grapes for added water and just started giving oats to see if they'd eat them. I also gave floating sticks I used to feed my tadpoles, the crickets loved them.
