I plan to bring home 3 african dwarf frogs in the next few weeks so I am currently planting my tank to make them a suitable home. I have Java moss and ordered Anubias Nana. What other low light plants would they like? I still want to be able to see them I just also want them safe. I have driftwood so anything I can attach to that would be goodThanks in advance

I really recommend water wisteria - leave it floating though. it will make a nice canopy, giving shade to the frogs so they feel bolder about exploring and giving them a nice place to hang out in at the surface. I use it in all my frog tanks and absolutely love it.
I dont have that option here. Would it be ok to get some hornwort plant a little and leave the rest float?
You can plant just about whatever you want with dwarf frogs. They don't damage plants. It depends on your light/ferts/co2.
If you just want easy and hardy then the analbus sp. are good, Java ferns and crypts too. Some floating plants perhaps to subdue lighting as Jenn suggested.
Hornwort can just be planted. It will have that floating plant appearance as it grow long and floats anyway.
My question was more about the lighting I know ADF's arent destructive. I have anubias on the way I will probably order a crypt and definetly some java fern some moss and Hornwort. Its just going to take longer than I'd hoped to get this tank up. But if I can make room for my Bookshelf I can have my ten gallon![]()
Not sure where you are located, but there is a local fish forum for my area. I planted my 65 gallon for only 40.00 and it is loaded with plants. Other hobbiest are usually a safer and cheaper way to go.
I even killed Java moss ... I am thinking the soft plastic plants I use for all my other fish including my bettas.
I have 2 female ADF and they destroyed my new anubias nana plant. They chewed up over half of the leaves down to the stem and chewed through the stems of the other half....all within 7 days. Lost the plant. It is funny too since the description of the plant says it is very hady and nothing will eat it. I have two other plants and they touch them
