Hi everyone,
I have a picture of a waterfall on the side of my FBT tank and my frogs, particularly the female, often gaze 'longingly' towards the waterfall pic as they sit in the water! I know this is probably a coincidence but I was just wondering if the froggies would like a waterfall, and if so is there one I could add without majorly altering my tank (I was thinking a waterfall in left hand corner with a pump thingy leading into the water if that's how they work! Also, if anyone knows a good model of waterfall for the tank, please post.
Thank you sooo much
MissFroggie

If you want something ready to go, Exo Terra makes a waterfall kit in 3 sizes: Exo Terra : Waterfall / Natural Waterfall . Also, if you keep your frogs in a 20L, 30, 55, or same width tank might want to look at Tetra's Viquarium kit: Viquarium .
If going home made; then search for "waterfall" "how to make waterfall" or "how to build waterfall" in forum (YouTube too) to get more ideas and see if it's something you want to get involved with. There are different pump designs, so make sure one you get is able to work in low water levels. Exo Terra and Zoo Med both make a couple that will work fine. Good luck!
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
Thank you so much! At the moment the Exo terra small or medium looks best- great advice!![]()
Hi Miss Froggie,
Frankly, I think if my FBT's are really attracted to beautiful, natural images. My frogs seemed to be congregating at the end of the aquarium where they could see all of the activity in the apartment. I placed some art there on the outside of the aquarium--created by an artist friend--and I swear they hangout & look at it a lot! I'm going to try and add a pic of one of them looking at it--if I'm not successful I'll reply again & add it to my albums.
Bottom line for me--I'm still a newbie--I've had my FBT's less than a year--they love having interesting things to look at, and,I have a waterfall of sorts--the water from my circulating pump flows down a piece of cypress that I drilled and inserted the discharge tube. They really like hanging out there also.
OK, I just tried to add the pic & there are 3 copies of it, all upside down. I'm sorry--it's almost 1 AM here. I'll try again tomorrow.
Sorry about that--three upside pics, I think I have it correct now. (hoping, hoping)
Awwww your Fire Bellied Toad pic is adorable!
