I myself have a juvenile WTF and he is doing awesome as of a few days ago (thought he might of been a lil of our water or something)

I do not use a heat pad because they aren't on the ground too much. They do need a heat lamp just to keep control of temp (I use the kind with dimmers) and I use crickets as a staple food. I've tried mealworms with Kirby (my frog) but he doesn't like them. Our lizard loves em tho! Haha

Just make sure to use water conditioner and dust them crickets and you should be set!
