Hello i have a new Red-Eyed Leaf Frog who has been in his new enclosure since monday tuesday morning he was found sleeping on the ground but the next day he was back of his leaf and eating and acting normal. One thing i had recently noticed was that on his um..rear end on that little vertical slightly protruding bone they have on their bottoms is a light blotchy spot. is this something i should be concerned about. he is an a zoo med terrarium 18x18x24, temprature hovers around 72-73, humidity stays around 70-80%.
Is the discoloration one of the colors he changes to? IE: bright green or dark brown.
Mine occasionally have white dots on them but its normal. I have also seen them with green spots and later were gone and back to the whole body being bright green. I believe it would be best for you to add a pic if possible so other can see and try to determine if your frog needs attention.
No its more of a pale green to whiteish color. Will post a pic when i get home.
So i got a pick the blotchiness is gone either that or its only apparent when his color is dark green but he still has a small brown mark on the tailbone.

Not sure what that is unless he had a wound there at one point. I would just keep an eye on it and if it seems to get worse then get him in to see a vet
So the white has returned i took another pic, i think it might be a wound from transport maybe form scraping against one of the holes in his plastic container. the white around his tailbone is his skin the rest is just glare.
