hi guys. can anyone recommend a substrate other than coco fiber, moss or water?
i first started off using moss and that was the most ideal because it leaves no mess my 2 afb's like it the moss but its so expensive over here that i couldnt use it anymore. so i recently switched to coco fiber and im regretting it. having to find and dig up 2 frogs in a large enclosure is really annoying and i dont even have the substrate deep. they also hate it because it sticks to them and when its time for feeding they try to get it all off them.
so im looking for another substrate. is there any anyone can recommend? thanks
In the past, I used top-soil for my frogs. It's a lot cheaper than coco-fiber and can be bought at Home Depot-type stores. You just have to make sure that you get the soil without any additives to it.
