Yeah, crickets are smelly and they escape a lot. Worms are a very good staple food, and I haven't had a worm escape yet, hehehee. I did have a slight incident when my mom was at my apartment, opened the fridge, and found the worms... but that's another story.

I usually buy my worms at one of two pets stores. I know quite a few people get them from Walmart. You can get them from a bait shop, just make sure it is a reliable one and be 100% SURE that the worms have no dies or chemicals. These get used a lot for fishing bait and can be fatal for your frog. Also, check the worms. You should just smell fresh dirt. If you ever smell anything bad, don't feed them to your frog. Better safe than sorry!
