Exclamation White's Tree Frog Bullying? HELP!

Last August I got 2 juvenile White's tree frogs for my 33g 18"x18"x24" terrarium. They were doing so well. Then as they settled in (after a couple of months), I made some behavioral observations. It appeared that the slightly bigger, dominant frog had shown exceptional hunting skills, and the slightly smaller, submissive frog, was only to be hand fed, because of his poorer hunting skills. I always wanted to improve the smaller one's hunting skills, so I put free roaming crickets out in the enclosure. The dominant frog would always steal the other one's meal. It got to the point that the smaller one, in fact, died. He was in the water, face down, skinny as a...skinny frog o.o. Days before, he was not accepting hand fed crickets. I still have the dominant one, and he is thriving more than ever. My question is, should I get another White's or not. Im really afraid of having this guy bully another to death. I kind of feel bad for him. He jumps over to the wall and stares at my Fire Belly Toad tank at the two toads. Is it safe? He truly is the greatest hunter I've ever seen.

There is no way to tell what will happen when introducing another frog to an established frogs home. One you would want to quarantine the new frogs for 30 days, ensuring he is eating and has no parasite or infection issues. You would then want to do some rearranging of the tank when adding to put them on a more equal playing field.

The frog would also need to be similar in size.
1.0.0 Red Eyed Leaf/ Frog - Agalychnis callidryas
1.1.1 Bumblebee Dart Frog - Dendrobates leucomelas
1.1.0 Dendrobates truncatus - Yellow Striped
1.1.1 Dendrobates tinctorius – Bakhuis Mountain
    1.1.0 - Dendrobates tinctorius - Powder Blue
    1.1.0 - Ranitomeya vanzolinii

When we got 2 more whites, our original one wasnt letting them eat. He was smaller than them and always eating all the crickets so everyother day I would take them out and feed them seperately. Eventually i started only having to do it once a week. I am hoping I wont have to continue seperating them for to much longer. But it helps so that they can hunt and they all get to eat.

i was worried with this wen i first had my two whites. i would always see the larger frog eat but not the smaller. i think the smaller frog was eating but i just wasnt seein it. willow (larger) would jump down off her stump as soon as food was put in then go back wen she was done, thats wen id put a few etxra crickets in for oki (smaller)just to give him the chance to get somethin to eat whilst willow was sittin relaxin after eatin her dinner. even now one is still bigger than the other but i think they may be different sexes. oki will now come down wen its feedin time but they tend to hunt in different parts of the terrarium (and mine is smaller than urs-30x30x45cm) so maybe try spread the crickets about or use two feeding bowls. like don says theres no way to tell wot will happen (its the same with any pets) but hopefully if u get a frog of similar size itll all go well. fingers crossed for u and good luck
