I may have found what is wrong with my frog Rupert. He pooped last night and I took it out and looked at it and there was a small white bug on it. After that I cleaned the entire tank, didn't find any other bugs though. Could this mean he has parasites or worms? I've found Panacur online but not sure if that is what I need to get. On the First Aid article it also mentions Flagyl. I'm rather worried because I have my other frog housed with him, they are separated though.
If a springtail managed to get in his tank, this is likely what it was, they are small white insects that eat rotting organic matter, including fecal matter.
You can purchase a dewormer to keep on hand, but I wouldn't treat him unless you're positive that's whats wrong with him. He definetly needs to see a vet though. A amphibian specialist could tell you what's wrong with him. does he eat on his own now? Or do you still have to force feed him?
