That happened to mine in the past also and my local florist said it was due to too much fluoride in the water. Dechlorinating drops do not remove the fluoride unfortunately. I also asked if my brita water filter would and she said no.

Yeah, guess I'll use spring water from now on. Hopefully I have better luck with that.
