HELP! I found white little bug in my frogs' water and on one of my frogs. What is it? how do I treat it? and is the rest of my household in danger???
Got a picture of the bugs? Could be anything from mites to springtails.

I couldn't get a picture of them, but they are oval shape, and a kinda cream color, the look like little flying ants with out the wings.
I threm out their water bowl and got a new one, and i haven't seen them since, but I'm sure there has to be more.
Hard to say without actually seeing a picture. Do you have live plants? Many bugs stay dormant in plants and then suddenly appear later on. I recently had centipedes appear after the tank has been established for over a year.
No all fake plants. Unless they came out of the bark i bought from the store.
Yes, fire bellies, as well as most other amphibians and reptiles do get the occasional mites. Although, if you have a 50-50 setup with the toads, you have almost nothing to worry about. Fire bellies spend most of their time in the water, where mites do NOT dwell. Then, when they exit the water section, they also keep the land section moist enough to keep mites away. Hope this helps.

I think I have the same problem. There little white bugs that just live in anything they could fit in. They come out whenever water is continually running on where they go. I find them on my plants -.- . They are very creepy.
