You can boil or bake them at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. With plants you have to take all the dirt off them, then wash them with a 10:1 part belch then rinse them again with water to kill any bugs and wash away pesticides.
Sweet ok thank you!
The bleach isn't needed to wash off the plants with, just throughly rinse them, you could kill the plant by rinsing it with bleach.
I've always used bleach you just can't use a ton of it in the water or else, you will. But hey if it works without having to bleach them go for it saves time and money
I don't see how using bleach in a frog tank could ever be a good idea. From what I understand, frogs will absorb anything they come into contact with through their skin. And If I have to dechlorinate my tap water to put in as their water source, then I don't see how bleach can be safely used at any level. It's so toxic! Am I missing something?
UncleChester is right, rinse well. I do a second rinse with a little extra dechlorinator in the water to be safe.
