Thread: Day lamp is really hot! Plz help!

    Thanks for the replies everyone!

    The lamps have clamps (that rhymes! ) but there's nothing to set them on. And it is a ten gallon long. The wattage is pretty low (idk what it is) but it just looks hot in there.... It's not blazing hot but it looks I would be sweating in there idk. So I think I'm just going to take the fixture back and get one with a dimmer.

    Or I could give it to my little brothers mountain horned dragon? Idk haha

    It would definetly be best to get a lamp with a dimmer. Especially for frogs.

    I forgot to mention to use incandescent bulbs. You can't use fluorescents with a lamp that has a dimmer switch. Fluorescents are usually too bright anyway.
