I have 5 fire bellied toads in a 20 gallon semi-aquatic tank. I recently put some small feeder fish in with them and added 3 mystery snails.
I was wondering if it is possible to keep fire bellied newts in with them. In addition, I have a lonely green tree frog in a small tank and was wondering if I could add him in as well.
If there are any other good tankmates for fire bellied toads, please let me know.
Thank you.
Feeder fish are usually ridden with parasites. I would not feed them to your frog. I do not know about mixing the newts in with them but I would not if I were you. And lastly a definite resounding NO to putting the green tree frog in with them. Frogs do not get "lonely".
Thank you very much.
Actually, the feeder fish are way to big for my frogs to ever eat. They are in there as tankmates and have been quarantined to get rid of any parasites for a very long time.
And I will not put my green tree frog in. Some pet stores were keeping green tree frogs with Fire Bellied Toads, so I assumed it was okay.
Thank you very much for your help.![]()
