Default Broms and Orchids in Tank

Hello I started my first tank a couple weeks ago and its about time to add my plants. I was wondering what the best way to add a brom and orchids would be.

I have GS plastic cups into the false back wall, but I know orchids need to be planted on moss. So my question is would it be possible to just use one of the cups in the wall if I filled it with moss and placed the orchid on that or wouldn't it grow. Same goes for the brom could I do that or do I have to use fishing line to loop around it till it propagates.

    Thanks Thad

I don't an answer for the orchid, but the bromeliads don't need soil to grow and will attach them self to pretty much anything. My only caution here is that the cup need to be able to drain so that the brom isn't sitting in water. The Brom will hold its own water and is its placed into wet soil or water collected around the base of the brom, the brom will rot away over time.

I placed on on a piecd of wood and it attached itself to the wood in about a months time.

I poked holes in the bottom of the cup to allow drainage, but I was thinking of using a plastic zip tie or fishing line to thread it through the GS fake wall so that it will attach directly to the GS background. I figured I should wrap the roots in wet sphagnum moss so that it would grow and take root faster.
