    Default Frog enthusiast from Indiana!

hey there everyone Merry Christmas to you all. I had a Northern Leopard Frog when I was younger, and I've wanted another ever since. I'm interested in another NLF, or an Azureus Blue Dart Frog, or possibly one of each in the same Terrarium. Is that possible? Will the Leopard Frog eat the other?

Anywho, I'm glad I joined and hopefully I can be pointed in the right direction.

Welcome to Frog Forum Mitch! I'm a begineer but think most frogs will try and eat anything that fits in their mouths including other frogs. The NLF includes other frogs in it's diet and would make a snack out of a smaller dart frog. But; you can always keep in separate enclosures.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

Welcome to the forum Mitch and Merry Christmas. You will learn so much here. I wouldn't recommend every keeping different frog species together as they secret toxins which will be harmful to each other. It is also very stressful for the frogs. Any frog will most likely eat another frog even the same species if it is able to fit it in the mouth. It is recommend if keeping more than one frog that they be similar size and definitely the same species. I look forward to seeing photo's of your frogs.

Thanks for the welcomes guys And the information. That's very unfortunate that they couldn't live together. I love both frogs. But I think I'll have to roll with just a Blue Dart Frog or two. I'll post pictures as soon as I get them. I should be ordering them tomorrow .
