Hi Kristen, welcome to Frog Forum. White's tree frogs are awesome and glad that Miss Turtle is settling in quite nicely![]()
Hi Everyone!
Just thought I'd introduce myself! I'm Kristen, I live in Melbourne/Australia and bought my first White's Tree Frog on the weekend after months of research and setting up/building her tank. She's called Miss Turtle after a character on the TV series Entourage :P I think she's probably a yearling as she's close to adult size if a little on the small side. She's currently in a 3foot aquarium that I stuck a divider in to separate the land from water area (water area has 6 guppies who have already started breeding xD), stuck a rock over the water section and aimed the spray bar of the filter at it to make a waterfall, and I've doubled the height by using garden stakes, fly screen and velcro... though I found out the hard way its not quite fly proof... Fly pupae containers - WORST IDEA EVER!!! My house is swarming with flies now haha :P
I came across this site after doing the usual panic of diagnosing Miss Turtle with every disease under the sun, but after a couple of days settling in I'm pretty sure she's in good health (though might upload some pics of her legs soon just to double check it doesn't look like red-leg). It was mostly her apparent lack of appetite that was concerning me, but now it seems she's just used to being handfed! Its the cutest thing watching her go nuts over a pair of feeder tweezers lol xD
Well that's all for now I guess! Pics in my photo album for those who are intersted
