    Default Newest random petstore find.

Check this new P. Adspersus out! 40 bucks from a local petstore. I stop in here every week just incase they happen to have something like this! His name is Doofuss (my orig Doofuss died...) but this guy is well started already tipping the scale at over 8 oz. And to me he looks like a true male. Havnt heard a call yet but im pretty sure this is a male.

How can you tell if it is male or female?

Very nice find. I think its a female too. Its head looks farely narrow compared to most males I've seen. I will say that the colors look male to me too. My final guess is female.

in the first picture the smaller narrow head and the pudgy body indicate a female, and do not go by orange coloration i have seen many females with just as much if not more orange than some males. But still this is a very beautiful girl, and for fourty bucks its even better!

No but they are cool. I have been trying to decide what to put in a 50 gal. paludarium I have set up. I was thinking fire belly toads but a few days ago I saw someone with a water setup for their african bullfrog and now I want one.

yeah, but a plaudarium is a peaceful area with plants, a pixie will destroy the plants, so if you are leading towards a pixie i would opt for a 50/50 setup half land half water
