Have been looking at this section to get decorating ideas and maybe try a Paludarium (Vivarium) type enclosure next year. Came across this video today and would like to get comments about the Paludarium discussed in Practical Fishkeeping this month. Interesting point is that while on first view it looks very natural; the plants are not... they are plastic.

Wonder what are the long term implications of such a set-up if frogs (specially Moss frogs) were added to a similar set-up? Obviously plants would have no light requirement lowering energy costs; but at the same time there would be no vegetation to process nitrates or any other excess organic matter. Pro & Con comments are appreciated.
