Yep . It's like climbing into their sleeping bags for a daytime nap...all comfy & cozy.

It's perfect because it keeps them moist, protects their eyes, allows them to hide from predators, and let's them feel secure .

Like a sleeping position? I know they bury themselves to cool off, so maybe he felt extra warm? Also, last night is when I started using an infrared bulb at night, so maybe he was just able to get into "sleep mode" or something? haha He has since come out when I put his daylight lamp on, and is only semi buried as I have seen him do all the time. Just wondering if the amount of burying (if that makes sense) has to do with my pacman's mood or sleep cycle. Thanks!
I wouldn't worry. Sometimes they have just their nostrils sticking out of the ground or they stay fully buried for over a week at times. I would leave them underground until it's been at least a week with no action to avoid any additional stress just in case they are feeling a little under the weather. They are silly animals and act like dorks, so don't worry if you find them buried all funny. I've come in and have seen just a butt peaking out a few times, lol.
