Do Pacmans hibernate?

Yep . It's like climbing into their sleeping bags for a daytime nap...all comfy & cozy.

It's perfect because it keeps them moist, protects their eyes, allows them to hide from predators, and let's them feel secure .

Speaking of burying themselves, my pac did this thing last night I had never seen him do before. He was out in the open, in his favorite corner. But instead of burying himself with just the little backwards burying, he was FULLY covered. Just his little snout sticking out of the dirt! To be honest, it was pretty cute, but is this normal? Like a sleeping position? I know they bury themselves to cool off, so maybe he felt extra warm? Also, last night is when I started using an infrared bulb at night, so maybe he was just able to get into "sleep mode" or something? haha He has since come out when I put his daylight lamp on, and is only semi buried as I have seen him do all the time. Just wondering if the amount of burying (if that makes sense) has to do with my pacman's mood or sleep cycle. Thanks!

I wouldn't worry. Sometimes they have just their nostrils sticking out of the ground or they stay fully buried for over a week at times. I would leave them underground until it's been at least a week with no action to avoid any additional stress just in case they are feeling a little under the weather. They are silly animals and act like dorks, so don't worry if you find them buried all funny. I've come in and have seen just a butt peaking out a few times, lol.
