thanks wasn't planning on getting them to breed but may anyway. Will have to see if my geckos will eat them too. I might see if I can trade out some with mealworms for the animals in our college classroom and see if they even like them before going to buy a bunch. I know we have dubias as well as Madagascar hissing cockroaches in the classroom.

Dubias wont infest your house if they get loose? My cat has knocked over my crickets a few times and I find them hopping around in the house.

Hahaha true. With my cat though he would actually catch them and then eat them. a few might get past him but most never do.

My sister has 8 green tree frogs and none of them will eat dubias, neither will my green tree frogs. We have had much better luck with turkistan (lateralis) roaches for the frogs. The turkistans behave more like crickets where as the dubia burrow and play dead.

Now my leopard geckos, on the other hand, think the dubias are the greatest things ever.

Definitely dubia or turkistan over crickets. My 2 grey tree frogs eat the dubias from tweezers or moving down a branch (don't put them on the bottom they dig down right away).

Thanks for the responses. I am going to get a few from a friend to try and see if mine will eat them. If so then we are going to go in together on a bulk order since i am never home.
