Yep, it is winter... we have a red light on Don Dorito at night and a "basking light" for the daytime. Don Dorito (Whose name I am trying desperately to change to Suki--- we think he's a she, but who knows if it will stick. It hasn't yet.) has been moved to his new arboreal tank and is doing much better. He's eaten three crickets this week, and I just put in two more.

I also bought a baby white's tree frog, who seems to be a bit unhappy with how the subrate sticks to her (she's always rubbing it off with her back legs), but we're hoping she's good otherwise, though she seems to struggle to stick to the wall. Heh.
I've just put a more shallow water dish in her tank because she didn't seem to be using the other, deeper one, though I'd put lots of rocks in the bottom to be sure she didn't drown.

Frogs are trickier than most people think! Haha.

Get some leaf liter and pour it in on top of the substrate. Your frog will walk on the leaf liter instead of the substrate and not get so dirty which willl then allow him/her to stick to the glass. Leaf liter will also help with humidity and will naturally break down in the tank.

I get Sea Grape leaf liter from Josh's Frogs - Largest online herps feeders and reptile supplies store and he has a 5.00 shipping price which is very reasonable.
