I have 2 FBTs that I bought fron pet store couple weeks ago. one appears to be definitely female-larger than her sibling, wider body, middle finger longer than rest (I've heard that determines female-who knows if true?). The other one is skinnier (but eats more) and has a pointier snout and he's smaller. They're the same age because they're siblings from same batch of eggs. Just trying to figure out what's what and who's who. Also, is there any way to determine the approx. age? The larger one is 2 inches and the smaller one is about 1 3/4 inches. Thanks!
There are a few signs to tell if your toads are male or female.
1. Females are usually larger than the males
2. Males generally have longer fingers. They use this to grasp the female to mate with him.
I am sorry, but I am unaware of how to determine the age of your frog. You should go to the dealer/breeder that sold them to you and ask how old they are.
