Have you tried rubbing it on his mouth with forcepts? If he doesn't go for them you may have to try crickets. No larger than the distance between your frog eyes. You can rub them on his mouth. Hold them out to where he has plenty to bite without biting the tongs. Break the hind legs off so they're easier to catch. It takes time. If he doesn't eat in the next 2 to 3 days you may have to force feed. Keep us posted.
gonna grab crickets tomorrow..
awesome news!!!
I just bought 3 lil crickets to try (didnt' wanna end up with 50 million crickets he won't eat!)
I threw them in the tank when I got home just just now, and he ate 2 of them right away! no tongs or trying to feed him or anything... they were close and he gobbled em up!! the third is hiding on the other side of the tank... but i am so happy with him eating, i just had to share my good news!! <3
and now the 3rd is gone! woot!!
Better buy more crickets. You can feed him daily so buy about 2 dozen and put them in a keeper with a thin layer of substrate 1/4 in and place some cricket quencher and cricket food in there to gut load them. This way you shouldn't have to keep running back and forth to the pet store every other day.
ok, here i am with more stupid questions!
How do i know how many crickets to feed Pancake in one "sitting"? I'm not sure if he will just keep eating until he makes himself sick lol
They have "small" and "large" crickets at the pet store.. the small ones are maybe just slightly longer than the distance between his eyes, but pretty close. He is gobbling them up!
