The information on Martin's link is great. Just want to add that tap water treatment by cities varies from locality to locality and even within a locality (during different seasons). Some places you can literally use water straight up; others require dechlorination (chemical or by aerating water for 48 hours); and still others require water conditioners due to presence of chloramines and heavy metals.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
I use Prime to dechlorinate waters for my fishes and frogs. Our waters here you can smell the chlorine city added. Fishes won't survive more than 15 minutes if you put them in untreated treated.
