    Make sure the plants don't secrete toxins if they're damaged. Some plants release toxins into the soil even if they aren't damaged. You have to be careful what you choose. As Martin has said most will do.

    A lot of plant secrete toxins when damage, that's how poisonous plants out there delivers their toxin. However, I personally feel that this is seldom a problem, especially when dealing with an totally terrestrial, inactive pacman.
    That being said, caution is of course always a good thing!
