When males croak, how loud is it? In a previous post, members indicated my frog could be a male. I was asked if I heard croaking and I replied that in my 3 years I haven't heard croaking. Tonight I heard something that might be croaking. The throat bobbed and the body moved in a rhythmic manner. It looked like croaking to me but the noise was very soft. If it was croaking, would it be so obvious that I would know it? Like a bullfrog sound? If my frog croaks softly perhaps that's why I haven't noticed it the past few years.

How often do frogs croak? Daily? Nightly? Seasonally? Any environmental factors that trigger the croaking sounds? Thanks in advance.
